I have th RR version/type. When starting off do you have to rev quite high to get it going, i have had a few embarrassing incidents at the lights, but i thought i was in the wrong gear or summet, next time i did it i was definately i gear?hmm. First day of having bike. Is every1 elses bike restricted as heavily as mine, i cant even get to 70! huh!

You shouldnt really need choke at all in this weather, if you do then take it off as soon as poss. What I tend to do is rev it a bit when I take the choke off or the bike tends to die.
As for warming up, just wait till the temp gauge gets to the normal level before thrashing it.
Generally what I do is leave the bike ticking over while i kit up then just take it easy for a while, keep it down to 5/6K until its warm. That way not only the engines warm but so are tyres/brakes so its a bit safer to thrash it then.
