Ok, my CBR400 doesn't have a grab rail. And as far as I know, none of them did.

Basically I'm after a Grab rail for it. I understand it will mean cutting the rear pannels to fit one.
I'm just wondering if there is a "known Method" of doing this. Is this a modification that has been done at all?

Or am I on my own, And the idea is down to myself?

Couldn't you just add a strap to the front of the pillion seat? Can't imagine it'd cost that much if you took it to a bike seat upholstererererer

Why dont you either get your pillions to stop being homophobes and hold onto you proper or just trust in god and hold whereever they like.

It not like a 400 has the rip snorting power to chuck someone off the back unless you're very bad at clutch/changes even with them just daintily holding your shoulders as some people insist upon.

Don't do it binge!

Please don't put a grab rail on the baby. It'll not only look horrific but you'll have to modify the rear end to find one to fit.

If your pillion is that wobbly get some love handles or something similar.

grab rails suck anyway everybody I've taken on the back hates them compared the ones you find on the new CBF500 or CBF600

which are sort of next to your legs,

noooooo dont do it, it will look horrible what you got to remember is 400s are race bikes thats what they were built for. they are not made for carrying pillion (although you can) but i certainly wouldnt get on the back of mine. my dad makes me hold the rail on the blackbird....scary stuff tbh. the pillion feels much more secure holding onto the rider imho.

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Thats the sort of talk I would expect from Titz.

The rear seat has a "Strap" but its terrible. Just quite liked the look of the CBR6F grab rail. Looks quite "Sporty".

Meh, Probably wont bother if its difficult. Just wondered if there was an easy way to having one.
