Right, back in november 2005 i ran into the back of someone (i had been on the road for about 2 month on my moped)

But we never heard anything at all regarding it. She took my insurance details and stuff but we didn't get any letters through or anything through the post.

Obviously i informed my insurance company at the time but in october when i had an accident (my fault again Rolling Eyes ) i got shed loads of letters through the post (they wouldn't leave me alone for about 3 month!!)

So, is there anyway of finding out if the people from the 1st accident actually claimed? It would help my insurance a lot if i only had 1 claim against me rather than 2.

Thanks
Matt

I would guess the insurance company woudl have sent you a letter or called you asking about the first claim if they had been claimed against.. not 100% sure though..

Anyway, just call up you ins co and ask them how many claims have been made in the life of the policy, they will know!

It sounds like they didn't bother to claim. If someone does make a claim then you will normally be contacted by your insurance company informing you of the amount they have paid to the third party.

Bob-a-job, I am with a different insurance company now. I told them that we hadn't heard anything and he just put it down as a claim. It didn't make no difference what so ever in the price.

I Might ring up the insurance company i was with at the time (MCE) on monday and ask them...or can't they tell me now i no longer have a policy?

Annabella, that sounds promising. Hopefully they won't have as now it has made a big difference in quotes (between 1 claim and 2 claims)

Thanks
Matt
