It was all going so well.

98 XJ600N.

Now stuck in sixth gear. Changed up to sixth fine, no problems, no strange noises. Now stuck.

How/what/why/common on this bike?

How do I fix? Little annoyed at the mo, had the bike 2 days.

Thanks in advance.

There is slight movement up, no down.

I can put a fair amound of pressure on it and it doesn't move.

Hope She's fixed.... Smile

Yep. Had me stumped - and a little annoyed - for a while.

Thought the new "reliable" hack I'd parted cash with was a munt.

Karma for you sir. Thumbs Up

Cheers.. Smile

I had to get the bike moving from stationary in 5th Gear and limp it 6 miles home down dual carriageways and across roundabouts without stopping...

Get some threadlock or superglue on the bolt Smile

Including 2 towns and a motorway, plus a fuel stop.

Go go auto bike!

When I started riding I didn't know anything about bikes or maintenance and let the chain get a bit slack.

So slack in fact that I couldn't change out of 3rd gear. So I commuted to work for a week just using third. Rolling Eyes Laughing
