Preload Adjusters...

[Method]

Ok im looking at getting a set of preload adjusters but they need to be built into the fork cap aswell...

Firstly could someone give me some websites of places i can actually get these kind of things, i cannot find anywhere and ive been trying for ages,

Secondly, a list of bikes with 41mm forks would be handy so i know what options i have available?

I can say that the Yamaha Fazer 600 2003 has 41mm forks.

have you tried somebody like maxton there pretty good, they normally do rebuilds ect not sure about caps though.

Do you mean the items that fit seperately onto the fork tops?

If so, 41mm won't help - you need to measure the hexagon section of the forks instead.

There's a selection available from Ebay/Demon Tweaks/M&P if this is the case. Or if you want a slimline 'twin-prong' version, you could always import them from Japan....

If its for the sv650 then the early sv had them as standard..i got mine for the Bindit from Robinson Foundry..not cheap but came with the thrust washers at just over 40 quid inc p&p.tim

A note - some SV650s have a preload adjuster on the fork top (not an aftermarket fork, just the capability to adjust it) while some do have the adjusters.

The early curvy SV650s did not have adjusters I believe, while the later curvy ones did.

Unfortunately, they're often snapped up by racers, so quite hard to get hold off. However, worth a post on motoforum to see if anyone has a spare set.
