Just bouht a tl1000r, lovely bike Smile but i've read that they're slightly held back, by having the timing retarded, anyone know of the best solution?

And did anyone notice much of a difference? cheers

Best solution is to make or buy a TRE or an ATRE. Apparently the difference is pretty amazing.

Aware the page is more inclined to TL1000s models but the theory is the same.

Not sure about any specific one to be honest as I never got around to buying one. I think 'Ivan's TRE' is supposed to be pretty reliable and good quality though. I'm sure these guys would know a thing or two more about them. https://www.tlplanet.com/forums/index.php

Congrats on the bike, I really looked into getting a TLR before I got the R6. Insurance was the main thing that put me off though.

Plenty of information about how to on sv-portal.com ! Very Happy

Oh, and TRE does very little but smooth out the ride, bugger all for performance really. Smile
