First of all.
This is not going to happen.
The worst thing you can do is encourage people to film their own deaths trying to do something outrageous for a dodgy bike video.
Secondly. If one of us did go down doing this thing then who here would feel responsible after all of the encouragement they gave. Believe me, it is a bad position to be in.
If that is a bit hard to swallow, try dispelling video evidence of your dangerous driving in a courtroom when it is presented in full widescreen for all to see.
The hire of an Airfield starts at about £2000 for a day with full St John's ambulance, marshalls and insurance etc.
That is 3rd party liability insurance by the way, not, your own bike insurance will be void as soon as you roll onto the site.
Making an exciting video is harder than it seems. The best (worst) bike vids are the ones with crashes on. Ask the rider that supplied the video if they agree with that BTW. Anyone here want to start a fuind for one of us that slings their pride and joy down the road (maybe two up or involving an innocent 3rd party?) and ends up at best with written off pride and joy?
A friend of mine videoed his own death 27 months ago trying to make a 'cool vid' for his mates to watch. Obviously he didn't intend to die and leave his wife of three months a widow, but hey, thats the breaks.
Needless to say I haven't watched it yet... ____________________ https://www.labusas.org |

Well, its *not* that different to people arsing about at boxhill etc, or where ever on Korns video camera.
I dont think anyone would push anyone into doing something they dont want to do. thats just stupid.
The court bit is kinda true its a calculated risk. and we dont know each other right
It depends on if the video is being made just for fun, or for sale/ profit? |

As cool as the idea may sound, I'm gonna have to side with Mr Lucky here...intentionally showing off in front of the camera is a bad idea.
Also, as he said, the best vids usually have spectacular crashes...and the same principle applies to the "best" stunt riders...how do they do these stunts so well? By crashing loads of bikes...
Most of Korn's vids are very different to what you are suggesting here...they're not intentional stunt vids, and there wasn't really that much pressure on the riders to do anything stupid.
It would be good to get footage of a bunch of us just "messing around" on the bikes, rather than specifically performing in front of the camera. ____________________ TiN

I'd like to have a space where we can simply stage shots - it doesnt have to be showing off, just a chance to get shots that you can't necessarily do on the main road (cars get in the way!).
Eg, camera pointing backwards (pillion filming) and everyone coming up behind one by one, flash the lights and overtake. Nothing all that special, but it would make for a nice shot which, when coupled with other nice staged shots, general video of twatting about at boxhill, assorted tank cams, minimotoing, karting, still photos and a good soundtrack would compile into a nice little reminder of the good summer we're all hoping to have.
It would mean feck all to viewers who didn't know us, but that's not the point. It's for us to have and look back on when we're old and grizzled. |
