1999 CB600 Hornet, how many models?

I'm looking at buying a Hornet as the insurance on a particular model is very very cheap!!!

How many different models of the Hornet were there in 1999?

I ask because if i put in 1999 CB600 on the insurance website it costs just £280 (for an 18 year old thats very very very very good), whereas if i put 2000 Hornet it doubles in price (different model possibly)!

Only one model of Hornet for 1999.

The Half-Faired "S" model introduced in 2000, alongside the original Un-Faired model.

I believe the 17" front wheel was introduced in 2000 too, there are some other small changes also (Brakes especially, made better).

They remained unchanged until 2003.

Possibly you are getting a quote for the "S" model?
