Used to be in my back garden, inside the garage which didn't have a door but was situated with all 3 of my dogs. Nerver had any trouble at all. I'd imagine a locked shed and locked bike would deter most thiefs. If you're paranoid position a 'rape alarm/attack alarm' so if the bikes moved the alarm will go off, they make a HUGE racket and its cheaper than a proper alarm if you cant afford it. Just hide it so it's out of sight and remember to move it in the morning Thumbs Up

yeah I read on here about someone else who had used an attack alarm. I'm gutted now though because my college were handing them out for free Surprised

my shed has one padlock securing the door. Inside, the bikes chained up and the chain isnt on the ground, its strapped around my back wheel and rear rack. Hope it's going to be alright, especially seeing as I'm hoping to buyer a bigger bike in the next few months

I keep mine in a garage. I've two cars on the drive plus an Abus lock on the gates, the garage lock, the bikes are chained together and our bedroom overlooks the garage door... It probably explains why I don't get out much...

I work on the theory that if the toe-rag doesn't know it is there, it won't get nicked...

A small part of me does want somebody to have a go though, as I have a .22 on top of the wardrobe and would feel no guilt in placing a slug in the cheek of any would-be bike thief - just for identification purposes afterwards, naturally...

i have a rather large shed were i keep 3, and 4 in the garden.
Id be able to get them all in there if it wasnt for all the junk.

the ones outside are coverd and chained, big gate to climb over thats locked, and a spot light that seems to pick up more cats pissing in the garden than robbers stealing my bike.

never left it on the front street, i live in a good area, but all it takes is one drunk.

if im round the mrs's house shes got a garage i like to slip it into. Wink

I keep the FJR, the DR and the 2 FZRs on the drive.. the GPZ, the Firestorm and Thunderace live in the garage.

not had a problem so far, but I'm in quite a nice area, and the neighbours would probably notice anything suspicious happening

I'm lucky in having a large garage, so I can ride both my bikes in and park the car behind them in the garage.

In the garage on the front of the house, the FZR is ground anchored with a massive great abus chain and also has a small disc lock fitted.

The Vespa I sometimes chain to the FZR but don't always bother.

The garage door is pretty shit and could probably be kicked open but its not that bad an area so it will stop the kids anyway, if a professional bike thief wanted it all the locks in the world aren't going to stop them.
Although we do have 6 shot guns and enough ammo to invade a small country, so there going to need to be prepared to fight for it Twisted Evil Mr. Green

Mines in a locked garage with a chain round the rear wheel, with the steering lock on of course.

Also sometimes one of our cars is backed up so far you can't open the garage door anyway!

At the moment it has to be reversed down here:

Currently losing the battle for the garage with the car, which has been vandalised a couple of times when left out on the street.
