My plan is to get the tunnel over to france and then follow my gps to the site, which is estimated at 523 miles from the french tunnel side. Via michelin reckons it would take about 8-9 hours? to get to St. Aubin de Nabirat but im guessing/hoping thats conservative. Confused
Then i'll probably stay there for 3/4 nights after soaking up the sun and riding around then hightail it back to the tunnel. Thumbs Up
Im looking to do this between from the 10th of july, perhaps even earlier or later i havent decided.
Now the question is, does anyone want to come along? Cos i'll be bored shitless on my own probably! Laughing
Mr. Green Im planning on camping here https://www.motocamp.com/motocamp.nsf
Heres the route.

Are you planning to do the trip to the tunnel the same day as the mileage in France? It might be a bit much if so, that's a fair way down France.

I've no doubt you can do it but if you're taking a tent you could easily go the interesting route without the pressure to make it somewhere in a day, and pitch up somewhere along the way, remember the saying 'it's the journey thats important not the destination' Smile

Of course this is me with 400cc sportsbike arse-discomfort talking, a Vstrom should more suited to the distance.

That was the plan, although i have never ridden quite that far in one go. I see what you mean about stopping somewhere before, might be a better idea. I'll see if theres a campsite half way perhaps. Thumbs Up

are there any interesting roads around there? , Maurice seems to go for a straight gun down to the south coast,

though two of my former wingmen live nearbordeux , I've never managed to find a decent route to bordeaux without tons of pieage! expensive and boring! , I can do that by going round the M60 a few laps!
