er5 panniers

I am having a real hard time finding a pannier and top box set up for my 97 er5 anyone got any ideas... please...

I might well be proven wrong but i suspect there are only 2 options:

1. Givi Wingrack click here with a universal fitting kit and then you can get a givi top box and hard panniers.

2. Soft panniers and a top box with either a givi rack (different to a wingrack) or a luggage rack that you bolt the box onto.

I used the second option on my bandit when i went to Europe and it was a much cheaper option and i didn't feel there was any downsides over the hard panniers.

thanks, a great help. i had not thought of bolting on a box to a cheap rack so will look into this, can see it working well. any reccomendations for soft panniers ?

i have oxford first time ones, and they were fine on my trip, even properly packed out they were perfect. Buffalo also do some and Givi which are supposed to be good.

Small tip; if you get soft panniers, fabsil(waterproofing stuff used for tents) them, and put clothes in black sacks. They keep the water out so far but if it chucks it down overnight and the bikes not under cover eventually it'll seep through
