Up until 1999 all the CBR600's were steel framed, the 1999 CBR600 FX is a complete redesign, new engine, etc.

I think fuel injection was introduced in 2001 and in 2002 they were split into the CBR600F and CBR600RR models that we know and love today Very Happy

Different models. The letter denotes the year, until they ran out of letters and went back to numbers.

You won't notice a great deal of difference between them - buy the one that suits your budget.

But think carefully about buying a fully-faired 'bike as your first one: you're likely to drop it, and fairings are expensive to replace / repair.

And even experienced riders drop it from time to time: I dropped my brand new Adventure the other day Confused
