looking to buy a pop up 3x3 gazebo, loads of different ones on ebay, all claiming to be the "best in uk" Rolling Eyes

whats better...aluminium or steel Question

different suppliers claim different things, on the one hand, steel is claimed to be stronger and sturdier, and aluminium is weak. on the other, aluminium is strong and light, steel is heavy and prone to rust.

the steel ones seem to be a lot cheaper....... i dont want something that buckles when i try to collapse it, nor do i want something that weighs a ton.

hoping that some of you racers on here have experience of both and can give me some recommendations... Karma

thanks Thumbs Up

If it's for occasional use I'd say the Ali, and I'm pretty sure Argos are banging a decent size one out for not a lot of money as well Gav...

Steel, if you want it to last.

We bent at least three ally ones, but the big steelie I bought last year has survived a year of race weekends in stinking weather and is still in one piece. It has a little bend in one of the struts, but an ally one would have snapped.

Does weigh a ton though. It's a 6 x 3 and really takes 2 people to lift the bag when it's all packed up.
