my mate run his 98 rs50 on 4star surely this aint good 4stroke run on unleaded and i run my nsr and zxr400 on it any suggestions

Its not 4 star any more, its LRP.

Its ok for 2 strokes, it dont really make much difference. in fact Ive heard that it can be better for them.

The Lead in 4star gives u a smoother combustion and is better for engine life.

because the valve seats have been uprated to allow for this. The lead used to be needed, now it's just not needed but an optional extra if you want.

Hi

LRP contains no lead (4* is still available at a high price in limited quantities). The lead in fuel is a damn good octane booster, but also allows makers to use cheaper valve seat material on cars.

I use lrp in the RS125. It is designed to run on 97 RON fuel, and would probably burn a hole in the piston on normal unleaded
