Looking for a new helmet

hi, i'm looking for a new helmet, i have about £60 to spend on one but my problem is i'm quite small, about 5 foot 3 and i have a small head so my helmet at the moment looks like i have a big bowling ball on my head, does anyone have any reccomendation on what helmet to get? i have a nitro helmet at the moment which only cost me £30 off ebay and look overly big. obviously i'm more concerned about my safety but also want to look reasonable on the road rather than have a massive head. any suggestions much appreciated, cheers

Best advice is to go round a few dealers and stores (Hein Gericke, Infinity, whatever) and try them on for size.

Whatever fits someone else may not be suitable for you so trying on is the only way to know. Also keep it on for 5-10 minutes if you can to make sure it stays comfortable. Remember also don't be worried if tight as the cushion pads do give after a short time. It's the overall fit without too much front/back movement you're after.

Some people on here say if you really wana save your money, go to a dealer, find out your size. find the helmet you want in your budget. give them the 'thanks I'll give it some thought' and check online if its cheaper.

I picked up a HJC for 50 notes last year from Infinity for the other half and have used that more than my agv, it was a little tight to begin with but is really comfortable now. It can be a bit noisy on a longer run but does the job. Best bit is it's got a little nose cover so when I sneeze the visor doesn't get covered in snot.

I am only 4 ft 10" tall with a very small head (48 ) or xxxs and have problems

I always go to a dealers to try on first as how do you know if it fits properly as has been said it has to be slightly tight as it will give a little

I would never buy a second hand helmet as you dont know what has happened to it before hand also try and save a little more for your helmet if possible as it is your head it protects I found with the more expensive ones that they would probably last a bit longer

My local dealer asked if I wanted the Aria rep to come and fit 1 at no extra cost as I was having problems findin 1 to fit
