How to rotate video files?

I have this video file off my phone, but its sideways on, I'd like to rotate it so its the right way around, how can i do this? It's a 3gp file, viewable in quick time.

The Nokia media player allows you to rotate a video when watching. I'll have a look and see if it'll convert it too.

[edit] It says it can convert, but I get "unspecified error" when trying to save it

Use a piece of software called Super which can be downloaded from here - https://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html#Dnload to convert the file to an avi format and then according to this link - https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0075.mspx#EPD , you can rotate the file with windows movie maker.

might be easier to rotate the view of your whole screen, to watch the vid

my video card lets me do this so yours might

on mine it goes

right click desktop, properties, settings, advanced, geforce 7300le(name of my card),nvidia control panel,display,rotate display
