I am going to turn 17 soon...well a few months....and i want to get a bike. when i turned 16 i didnt see the point in getting a 50cc like my other mates...didnt really rate the high pitch screaming.

Anyway...what shall i do?
Im thinking about doing my CBT, then getting a 125....and go on to to the do full restricted license...would this be ok?

what bike should i be looking at getting?...i kinda want a sport bike rather than the other types....

the screaming you're referring to is a 2 stroke engine on most of the 50cc scooters. so get yourself a 4 stroke 125 Thumbs Up

yeah go and do your cbt. that will really help you decide if riding is for you and give you everything you need for getting on the road. then give it a couple of months to get some road experience, visit your bike school for a couple of training days and then book your theory and practical tests.

if you want a sportier 125 you're probably looking at a honda CBR 125, the honda NSR 125 or the aprillia RS 125. They're both pretty pricey for a first bike though.

if you're going to be on a budget though, keep your options open. There are plenty of good bikes out there and its not just the sporty ones than can be nippy and an awful lot of fun

yep get your cbt booked. but dont jump the gun too much. you'll be suprised how much you learn on your cbt, and then after that you can decide if biking is for you. if it is, take every possible minute to go out and ride. practise evrything you were taught at your cbt and try and keep the good habits you learnt.

then do your theory. then your restricted practical test. Then you are restricted to a bike of 33bhp for 2 years. and then, yes, after 2 years you may ride anything.
