I've aquired a nice heavy, chunky bike chain so now I need a lock to go with it. Being a bit paranoid after having two bikes stolen in eight months, I'm thinking of getting an alarm type lock. I was thinking of something like this: OXFORD ALARM BOSS LOCK(THATCHAM APPROVED). Does anyone have any experience of these types of locks? How sensitive are they? Are they set off by rain? Or any thing else you could tell me about them.

I think they are only activated when they are tampered with or attacked. hth

Hi,

Yes I have the oxford Boss disk lock alarm. Works well although not that load and only goes of for around 10 seconds at time before resetting. Pretty pleased. Its activated when tampered or knocked

Cheers
