Worth getting this bike to put a restrictor on it?

or will it not run very well at 33bhp?

its criminal! its a 115bhp bike and you want to cut it down to about erm 25% of its power? it'll take it but since the kwaks are In my experience tuned for all the power at high revs and restrictors erm restrict the revs (washers type) it'll utterly kill it, since IL4 sports bikes are deadly lumpy or crap at low revs,

Could always say bollocks to it and leave the restrictors out. I know on my 636 if it was restricted it'd drive me mad after a while. Does seem okay at low revs.
Obviously there's the risk of getting caught but as long as you don't do anything silly like 120 on it even if you get stopped the police might not bother for a restrictor certificate.

Dunno if there the best choice for a first bike though. Could always look at a 400 as they seem pretty good for just after passing a test.

How old are you? How long have you been riding? Etc?

Give us some background info.

In my limited experience I don't really think any bike likes to be restricted. Is there any reason you can't do DAS and be able to ride an unrestricted bike?

I've never had a restricted bike (was lucky enough to be 21 when i done my DAS).

Out of the bigger bikes i've had (CBR 600F and CBR 600RR) i've noticed two things that might help - if this is the road your going down.

On the 600F which was carb based, there never seemed to be much power until it got over 6k, it was almost chuggy and not massively responsive.

On the 600RR its injection based and it seems to have smooth power from 2k upwards.

I dont know if this would still be the case with a restricter kit on but an injection bike might be more suitable for this.

Only problem is, they tend to be the newer ones. What age bike are you looking for?

If your < 21 and have done your test though, look at a 400 or something, there's some crackers around (nc30, cbr400 etc). They will normally be lighter than a 600 so restricted they might be a little quicker and easier to manage.
