I seen a lovely Kawasaki 636 in the car park at work (but only on a friday & only if it's sunny!) and I've been desperate to get one.

Finally I decided to do the 0% finance deal yesterday. The plan was I'd finish work early go home & do the deal. I got to work yesterday morning to find I'll be redundant from 29th June!

I think this must be how someone feels when they find out their bike is stolen & they've only got 3rd party insurance! I honestly feel like the bike was almost mine & now it's gone Sad

It could have been worse,
You could have bought it and not be able to afford the payments and have the thing repossessed after a month.

Tough break though, what did you do?

hey, sorry to hear about your redundancy. That is crap luck.
Maybe if you get enough redundancy money you will be able to buy a zx6r outright?
I know how you feel tbh i got made redundant last year from my dream job.
Good luck with the job hunting.

Project is coming to a close so they're letting a lot of people go, although I'd have expected the temps to be let go first instead of the permanent staff but there you go!

I'd like to get a job working at an airport (baggage loader, security, anything like that...hey even a desk job would be great!) then I could justify buying the bike as I'd need to have something ultra reliable for the journey! I can reach Gatwick, Stanstead, Luton, Heathrow or London city airport within an hour on a bike (add on 15min for traffic!)

If there's a time for my guardian angel to wake up & grant me 3 wishes (am i getting my fairytales confused?!) then it's now!

Unfortunately there's no redundancy money for me as I've only been here 1 year!

a story to make you feel better.
imagine going into a bike shop and finding the bike of your dreams.
its brand new and un registered so you cant take it today but it will be ready at the weekend.
you hand over your 8 grand cash.
then go out for a play on the bike you have.
you then get done for dangerous riding and know you will get a ban.
you get your new bike for a month and then get banned having to sell your pride and joy because you wont get to ride for another year.
missing a bargain is a paper cut compared to that.

I got made redundant on Sept 11 2001, a funny sort of day to loose a job (google the date if it meads nothing to you). It got me out of industry ( which I hated) and into education (which I love). Redundancy can be a very positive thing.
