I fancy some straight bars for my Bandit. I have measured the outside diameter of the original bars at 22mm or 7/8 inch.

My question is this...With regards to stability, do I need bars of a specific length? Or is it simply a case of preference or whatever feels comfortable?

Regards

Ces

You can put low wide bars on but if you are riding hard then the first few
days you will have chest muscle pains unless you are a gym member. Smile

Would I need to buy specific bar end weights?

ive run bars with and without bar ends and dont really notice any difference.
flat bars are good, but hard on the chest as paddy mentioned, but they have a cool riding stance.
do what feels comfortable reguarding width of bars.
i like hem wide, but there comes a point that its just not practical when filtering Mr. Green

Remember, The centre 'dip' on Renthals is a fair amount wider than on the standard bars you have at the moment, so when you add that to the straight bits needed on either side for the controls, you are adding at least two inches either side to your width (ooh err mrs!! Whistle ) not the best for filtering.

Although... Think positive.... "I must, I must, Improve my bust!" Laughing
