Hi. I have a gilera dna 50 fitted with sports exhaust, new variator kit, rollers, tighter clutch springs and drive belt. It starts fine and runs for a few mins when going along the road it will just die (in hot and cold weather) Any ideas why? and how i can fix it? thanks in advance for any help
sorry forgot to mention that after cutting out it will not start on electric or kick start for a godd 10mins!

sound like an outo choke to me
on top of the carb in a black box, how it works is as soon as the engine sarts running, power is applied to a heater that heats up a bit of wax which expands, pushing a plunger out and cutting off the choke.
just ake the 4 screws off the engine top cover, unscrew the choke, and apply 12volts to the two wires.
according to haynes, it sould me 11mm long at cold and after 5 mins, about 14 / 15mm
hope it helps ____________________ killa wrote: Im an ass man myself |
