Sure am happy you guys like it..!!

Well to be honest, that photograph was taken yesterday and I had been working.. perfecting.. it for about 2 months.. so its been two months since i last rode my bike!! Shocked

To answer the q's:

Yes, sadly the idiot coppers in sri lanka pull you over if you don't have front plates!

The colour coats were done by a local garage (well maybe a leetle far away), the stickers were cut by a specialist, the scraping buffing was done by me. It took me about 10 trips to the garage (which was an hour away) to get it this shiny hahah

The engine work was done by me... a basic inspection of the piston.. cylinder and rings which were in good shape.

Oh..complete carb cleanup.. messed a bit with float levels to get it rich.. and then did a couple of plug chops and drilled some strategically placed holes in the airbox which does now sound a bit nicer and feels quicker! the motor feels like its got more torque now.

re-calibrated RC valves which were way off.. and checked up the cooling system..

Put some EBC pads on.. and drained and refilled the brake oils.. tranny oils.. the usual stuff.

The single seat was molded by my fibre guy (there is a different person for everything here in sri lanka.. Smile and painted, cut and polished by myself.

It took me too long cause I get back from work at 7:00pm almost all days and my gf kinda bugs me on weekends!

Now I want an NSR 250!!

I'm glad you guys like it!

Dyl.. wanna see your bike too.. isn't it the black version? buffed frame?

I'd love to get the frame buffed.. but requires too much work and don't have the time right now.

As far as speed goes.. its been able to keep in front (just) of a derestricted CBR 250R.. so i think its quite nippy!

have gone upto 90mph.. but there was a more power in it as it was still accelerating when I had to slow down.

Dyl.. try going back to the 13 front sprocket and also..try and increase the size of the rear sprocket.. this will give you super acceleration and should still be able to hit about 90mph or so. I've got my stock settings on.

Smile

Most of the Max Power brigade get it cheap from garden centres, DIY shops and places like that. Just buy a square metre, cut out the shapes you need, and u got enough left to do your next 3 bikes as well Smile

Securing is down to you, some people to a fibreglass layer, some buy stick pad clip thingies, some use gaffa tape - upto your inginuity!

I used a stick of plastic and using a soldering iron to weld some areas of the grill to the fairing. It works a treat, but do use the right stick of plastic otherwise it just comes off.

I didn't think that other methods would be strong enough and maybe come off if you hold a high pressure water hose or something when cleaning up the bike.

You could also try araldite.

BUT you should be able to remove them at a later date incase you want to change the grill, cause they do tend to get patchy after a while.

Also, when you cut out the grills, make sure you cut out a much larger area cause they should have a big enough border to attach onto the fairing.

Hope this makes sense.. heheh Smile

Confused

Service didnt make much differance, neither did carbon reeds Sad .Will replace clutch, according to manula this can hinder high speed riding. It was slipping anyway so i already got the kit. If nothing works then back to the 13 tooth, but acceleration seems fine, so i want the top speed!!
