well this is reguarding my oldskool cb250 g5 of the 76 vintage.
the revs hang for a few seconds before falling back to a stable idle and even while riding it.
it doent appear to have any air leaks as far as i can tell(done the wd40 and butane tricks)
the valve clearance have been set according to the manual
the carbs have been cleaned out.

any other ideas???

running lean. air leak between manifold and head. or adjust mixture screws. also the timing could be out.

Meant to say Logan check the carb diaphrams ... if they have a hole in them then it'll rev slower and take more time to drop the revs Thumbs Up

the diaphragms wouldnt make the revs drop more slowly i dont think, it would just act like a restrictor and prevent the motor revving out.

Perhpas you have a sticky slide possibly?

The diaphrams work on vaccum ... if there is a split in them then the pressure differential will be ... well different ... and they won't rise/fall as quickly as they should.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone ... not 100% sure about this but quite sure Confused

Will see if this guy has any spares Logan Thumbs Up

All the best ... Barry

my gt550 had two out of four split, but didnt drop revs more slowly, was just flat and rough at high rpm.
