Looking through the ACPO policy site for some other stuff.
Came across the Motorcycle Enforcement Strategy - word document download.

Some interesting little bits like:
Arrow For those with small plates then providing they can be read at 20.5 metres (standard driving eyesight test) then it implies they're ok.
Arrow Tinted visors - in daytime then advice only.
Arrow Coloured headlamps - ok unless red.

Probably been posted before, I'm sure the thread police will let me know.

HTH Thumbs Up

P.S. Anyone who needs a word document viewer can get one here - it's Word Viewer 2003.
If you have Word 2007 format documents you need also the compatibility pack from here (MS changed formats Doh!)

"In respect of clothing for motorcyclists there is currently no specific legislation, except for helmets, regarding the type or quality of suitable clothing that should be worn. It is therefore recommended that a common sense approach be applied, constructive and helpful advice should be offered where appropriate and that intervention and education is required in cases of obvious danger, for example, riders wearing shorts and tee shirts."
Burbery should be outlawed IMHO.
