after getting told off for wanting to go riding about without goves or a jacket, ive been looking on ebay to see what i can pick up cheap.

I came across these

They're motocross gloves. Doubt that they'd be any good if you slid along the road.

You deserved a telling off!

It's your choice if you want to go riding around with no protective gear. But I STRONGLY suggest gloves, a jacket and full face helmet as a minimum.

The gear doesn't have to be expensive. The gloves I wore all winter cost £8.50 off eBay including postage!

Go to a bike shop and try some on as a badly fitting pair of gloves can cause all sorts of annoying problems like aching hands, blisters where they rub on the knuckles, too loose etc. I bought a pair of spada gloves for £35, I wasn't planning on spending that much but they are so damn comfortable. If you have a lidl store local to you, they do cheap gear Smile
