OK looking for a learner legal bike and cannot decide on whether I should go for the RS125 or the NSR125. Both of them are in my price range.

Any suggestions

For resale value and relability go for the nsr, the rs is slightly quicker but doesnt keep its value like and nsr and is prone to recurring mechanical faults.

I forgot to mention, I want to take in to account things like the speed, the noise and which one is easier to get spare parts for. Plus things like how much petrol they drink and which one is easier to look after.

speed = RS
noise = NSR
spare parts = NSR
easier to look after = NSR

The RS has a awesome racing pedigree!! and will out handle and brake a lot of bigger stuff! And it should be just as reliable if you look after properly and don't skimp on stuff like two stroke ! And it looks a lot better!

If you actually have the time and money to buy, look after and maintain the RS you may as well go out and but a proper (bigger) bike.

yeah , the rs is a much better bike all round . As they've already said, unreliable if you skimp on the upkeep, but what bike ( or car for that matter) isn't!. The only other thing I'd say is: no matter what they tell you, don't get a punto!!!!!! (aaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhh!)

Sorry, punto probs ahoy!! Confused Evil or Very Mad

That would mean their TV ads say "Spirit of the Small Dick". Mmmmm! One to think about.
