I've just noticed that my insurance certificate has the wrong registration plate number on it. Not one mistake but two letters are wrong on it.
Does this mean I'm not insured? I just called them up but said I have to call customer services during office hours. ____________________ Honda NSR125R -> Suzuki GSXR400R GK76a -> Kawasaki ZX636 B1H -> Honda CBR400RR NC29 -> Nothing |

I've got something to admit along similar lines!
When I bought my bike from the bike shop and traded in my old one, they had 2 identical XR125's for sale. I had previously decided to buy the slightly lower mileage, slightly higher priced one. So when I returned with my old bike, I had already got my insurance set up for the lower mileage bike.
However, on looking more thoroughly into the servicing book I noticed the mileage didn't add up and it turns out the bike has had the speedo replaced! The shop offered to drop the price to match the other identical bike, but I decided the replacement speedo could affect its re-sale value and ended up taking the slightly higher mileage bike home! It was only after I got home I realised that the insurance covered the other bike and not this one, so I'd actually been riding illegally - rather lucky I wasn't stopped!!
Definitely get your insurance sorted out before riding the bike again... |
