Helmets, leathers, gloves and boots are an increasingly expensive part of the biker's kit. So it's no surprise that an increasing number of bikers chose to insure them against damage. The problem is that many helmet and leather policies haven't kept up with rising values, whilst premium costs are often too high.

In short, they don't do the job and they don't give good value.
