Hey, great believer of owning more than one bike. Means I can fix the one while still having a decent way of transport. Basically I have built up a fair bit of mileage on this bike over the last year, just been sitting around for a month or two now and might flog it for a bigger replacement. Question is, is it worth it.
Had 13,000 miles out of mine and some things on it don't actually seem to be wearing. The front tyre still has tons of tread. I am going to replace it anyway as I am not sure that it is even made of real rubber. It has been fairly temperamental since I got the bike anyway.
General quality is fairly tat actually. A lot of the plastics have faded a fair bit, and the exhaust seems to rot in a second. It looks alright at a first glance but peek over the rear and under the silencer cover and it looks worse than my 18 year old Honda.
Of half a mind of whether to keep it or flog it, I am not sure whether I'd get more than £800 for it given that I only did the first two services with Yamaha (that was enough ). Mind you do people give a toss if it has been well maintained? Who knows.
I've not really seen any up for sale with that kind of mileage anyway, anyone else racked a bit up on one of these or a similar small capacity bike? |
