Had the same happen to me once before, only my fast reactions saved me and my bike from hitting the car. All you can do is just wear hi-vis and be on your guard all the time. Wink

no offence but it's really hard to read what you've typed because you've hardly used any full stops. I can't really think of anything else. Sounds like you have taken all safety measures possible. Maybe just do extra mirror/shoulder checks. That way you'll be more aware of whats going on around you. Apart from that all I can suggest is ride defensively, and expect everyone else on the road to be an idiot.

Some people just never bother looking properly. I've had a similar thing in the past and fortunately managed to catch up with the dozy bint to explain exactly where she was going wrong. Wink

You've just got to stack the odds in your favour, and as has already been said, just assume that everyone's an idiot and that they're all out to get you.

i find it handy to sound the horn if it its possible someone hasnt seen me

we have had a debate on here before

and it seems that women pull out, just expecting other people to slow down and let them in

its not that they dont see u, they just pull out and think you will have plenty of time to slow down for them

its like they would do it for someone else, so they just expect people to do it for them

Oh the irony Rolling Eyes

If you can't read badly written text, have you ever thought the problem might be with you? Brick Wall

I dont see the irony. I also don't see how the problem is mine if I can't read poorly typed text.

and I did exactly that on Friday night whilst filtering around a line of stationary traffic, a foreign car looked like he was going to pull out and overtake the queue as well, but he decided otherwise Thumbs Up

Surprisingly sometimes you can be over bright. Headlights can make it hard to judge distance. A bit of contrast to bright colours can make a difference.

Try to make an habit of making eye contact, if you can't see them looking then prepare for the worse.
