i just bought an 87 xr 250 and it has an oil leak. it was leaking from one of the two bolts below the front drive sprocket so i pulled them both and oil started coming out i realized someone had jb welded the case and thats where it was leaking so i replaced the bolts and added more oil. now it wont shift right when i am riding. it goes up to about 3rd or 4th and thats it and it wont downshift.
i think this one bolt that has a stud on the end is what screwed me up but idk. i'm feeling kinda sick about buying it and screwing it up after 1 day of riding.

HELP PLEASE!

Have you put the bolts back into the same holes as they came out of as in bolt 1 into bolt 2's hole. Try swapping them around.
