I hope to have a VFR800 some day. They look mint and make a good sports/tourer, with the emphasis on sports Smile

I think it looks alright but its got an older image I think- a bit too sensible and likely to have a 40 year old rider (nothing against 40 year old riders Very Happy ).

I dunno, I think some of us young'uns are starting to looc a little more towards practicality now. Starting to 'live' the bike scene instead of racing past it.
I want a bike that's gonna be fast (most sports-tourers have a higher top speed than sports bikes, ZZR1100, Blackbird, Busa-kinda) but is gonna take me everywhere a little more comfortably.

Bikers are changing. Fewer old, harley riders. More you sport/street riders. And I think our opinions on bikes are changing too.
When I started biking I just wanted the fastest sports bike!! Now I want a good mix

GSXR1000..... a little more comfortable than an R1.... and it'll get you there in half the time of other bikes so you don't need it to be tourer-cofortable Smile

TBF I went for a zx6 over a gsxr6/r6 so that I wouldn't have problems doing distance riding.

But being practical again, we can't really use the speed of a gixxer100 in half the places we'd like to visit:P So I'd go for the mixture again. Comfy riding at slow speeds (Like in the UK) and some good speed when it's allowed (or not traceable:))
