Hi, unfortunatly I need a full rebuild and poss new crank. I'm thinking of a 2nd hand engine instead due to cost. i know this might be a tad risky but it is warranty'd for 1 month. The 2nd hand one I've seen says it's for the RR (year 2K) mine is an R year 2003. Can anyone say whether this should be compatiible. Also is there anything to be weary of from the engines of this year. Cheers all.

all engine since 1989 will fit providing it's from a UK or IT specs . in FR,SWiss barrel is slightly restricted (transfers,exhaust port) but will fit . dont worry about fitting , think about real mileage and eventually change rings or top-end if you are not sure
