Minimum age you can take your theory test?

I've heard of people taking their theory before they're 17, but i don't know for sure the rules for it.

I've searched on t'interweb and couldn't find a definitive answer, and searched here but the servers too busy.

So does anyone know? cheers. Thumbs Up

on the DSA webby it says that you only need a valid uk driving liscence to book it so it makes sense that you should be able to book it at 16
