I bought a textile jacket a few years ago from Lidl. It has been great, never been cold in it and only just started leaking after wearing it for 28 miles a day, 5 days a week.
I am now looking to replace it (I know Lidl just had their stuff in again the other week, my jacket didn't start to leak til the next week! )
So far I am leaning towards this one

Does anyone know how good it is or have any sub-£100 recommendations?
I would be over the moon if it was as good as my Lidl ("B-square") one.
Thanx |

You may find that Lidl or Aldi still have some in the shops, or local does not remove them till they seem to sell all they have got. Always worth a vist if you think its good value and what you need. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

I've got a Frank Thomas textile jacket that I've had since August 2005 (though not the same as the one you are looking at) and it has been totally waterproof many many times! I often get to my location after riding in the wet and cold wind to find I am sweating once I get into the warmer indoors as it has kept me so warm. However the lining is also removable for when it's too hot for good weather (not that we've had much recently!). Has plenty of very useful pockets and basically has been perfect in a couple of low-ish speed slides down the road (one at ~10mph and another at ~30mph) and no visible signs of damage to the jacket at all! My jacket was £110 at the time I think? But I got it for £90 with a discount . ____________________ :: Honda XR 125 L ('53) => Kawasaki GPZ 500S ('02) => Suzuki SV650S ('00) => Aprilia RSV-R ('51) :: |

I've been in exactly the same situation during the past couple of weeks after my long suffering Akito Python textile jacket started leaking.
I've since gought an RST Axis jacket, and it's already been tested by rain and wind as well as warm sunny weather. I know I haven't had the jacket for very long but to be honest I can't really fault it ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N
