What to get for ?450

I need some help in deciding on what to get 125CC wise. I must say im kinda strapped for cash because the place i worked in got taken over and they fired all their employes

so im starting my new job on wednesday but i need a bike after about 2 weeks because i cant carry on getting a lift from my boss Razz

Anyone got any ideas?

I dont really want a crosser as its more than likley to be nicked around where im going to be working also they dont have staff parking but i wouldnt mind a 4T as the 2T noise is annoying

If it comes to it then i will have to get a crosser but that will have to be a last resort

You will prob get a Honda cg or other commuter out of that if you look on ebay. Dont go for any make you have not heard of stick with the names you know or you wont be getting to work for long on it.

I'd say look for a CG125. Cheap to insure,run and they are easy to get parts for if you do manage to break anything.Also very reliable and the engine is more or less bombproof as long as you change the oil regularly.

The CG125 holds it's value really well so when you do come to sell it you'll probably get back what you paid if not more! I bought one for £350 4 years ago as a back up bike when i was a courier and sold it last year for £450.During the time i had the bike all it ever needed was chain sprockets tyres and oil changes. Thumbs Up

Im going to keep the CG in mind as it looks good and ive read some of the reviews and it sounds like a sound buy

I have had a fake import bike.. my slow-ped ive got at the moment and i wont ever buy another fake bike.

What if i could get around £800 what could i get for that?

All good answers, but one I would include would be 'E-Bay' and particularly 'Gumtree'

Might not be on your license but i got an 96 Honda 650 ok condition, MOT till aug 2007 for £300.

Site is for aussies and kiwi travellers mainly, but anyone can use it.

My seller was off to trekking for 6 months next week so i got bargain, had it since dec 06 and love it.... Very Happy

Keep looking, sometimes the one you want is just around the corner.

For £450 you cant really be too picky on what you get. Best thing to do would be save up a bit more and get yourself a decent bit of kit instead of getting a pile of rust on wheels.

It's not 125cc but I got my RXS 100 for £250. I suspect £450 would bag you quite a nice one, plus the insurance is cheap. Thumbs Up

They are 2t, but the standard exhaust isn't too loud.

My CG cost me £450 and was rock solid when I bought it. The good news is when CGs get to that kind f age they stay that kind of value as long as they have a good MoT on them.
