Right im after a polish i can use on the rsvr, only problem (if it is one) is that the one ive got has the matt black paint finish.

Can i use ordinary polish on this or do i have to buy a special one?

And has anybody got any recomendations?

Cheers
Tom

To be honest mate, I'd just not bother. Give it a good old wash and dry it up and that should do.

However, a popular choice is Autoglym, you'll have to research what type, as there are many. I have heard some bad stuff like it leaves blotches etc, but thats all I can recommend, if you need it badly. Wink

try contacting the dealer, and ask what they recommend using. i know it sounds obvious, but not sure if you have considered it as an option.

i would just use some turtle wax wash and wax, and afterwards wipe it down with a soft dry lint free polishing cloth, to remove any water marks. this may be the best option,as your bike is a matt finish, so polishing would be a waste of time. (in my opinion). Very Happy

all the best,
flat eric.

p.s. let me know how you get on, as i'm thinking of getting a matt finish bike. Thumbs Up

the cloths can be bought from www.mhtextiles.co.uk

Have a few tips in that thread regarding cleaning matt finished bodywork.

Would of thought a good warm soapy wash would be best bet for a matt finish.
