Or an ebay or shop link to some cheapie ones would be great!

Cheers

From BMF, they should know!

If you have a modern number plate with an EU marking “GB” then this is accepted anywhere in the EU (and Norway and Switzerland) instead of a separate GB sticker.
This is the GB under the EU stars symbol only. It doesn't cover any of the other stuff that may or may not be allowed (like CYM, ENG or SCO). It also just covers Europe (+ Norway & Swiss), outside that you need a sticker. However, rather than getting a new plate you can just get the sticker and put it on the plate if there's room.
Example here.

Otherwise if not on the plate a GB stickers must be shown.

I have come across this
Quote:
On motor cycles and their trailers, the dimensions of the axes of the ellipse shall be at least 0.175 m and 0.115 m.
BTW that's the same size for other motor vehicles if the distinguishing sign comprises less than three letters. Source is this pdf document - UNECE Convention on Road Traffic, of 8 November 1968 Annex 3

So nip down to Halfrauds (or eBay) and you should be ok.

Thumbs Up

I made one in photoshop, printed a couple off and stuck them to our numberplates, covered in sellotape, they looked bad after a few days due to a run in with rain. This time I'll use some photopaper I have and laminate it with tape really well, refuse to pay several quid for a sticker.

I'll send you the nice quality GIF if you want, couldn't find a good one on google images.

FWIW here's a few I came across.
Looks like the EU one hasn't quite got the GB text right!
I'm sure photoshop and the correct font can sort if that bothered.

HTH Thumbs Up

Considering I am in Georgia currently and havent had a GB sticker since leaving the UK , nobody seems to bat an eye at the lack of GB stickers on plates , you do need one for China however.

Maybe that's why people keep trying to kill you? Should've had a GB sticker on...

If you only going riding in europe I'm not sure you really need them as I think all the european countries have white rear plates apart from the Netherlands (and your not really that likely to go there for fun riding).

They might help the europeans understand why you ride down the wrong side of the road at times though.... Embarassed
