Shouldn't it be covered under warranty? Take it back.

Hi

Carb icing is a very over estimated cause of problems. It can happen, just nothing like as regularly as some claim.

Tends to need cold damp weather (too cold and the moisture content of the air drops too low for it to be an issue) and a fair few revs.

All the best

Keith

I get it a lot on my drz.

If you look on thumpertalk, they say its a very common problem with the drz.

I find that if i warm the bike up (5-10 mins of riding) then pulling over, switching the engine off for like 1-2 mins, then when started back up it idles fine and is fine at low revs. I pressume your problem is cutting out at low revs and a weak/non-existant tick over ?

Possibly carb icing, or more likely could be to do with the woefully bad fuelling as standard, it does require a few minutes warming up to be ready though. The bike is very restricted as standard.

You need to do this mod to your bike:- https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VtKWbs0N5lo

Also search on thumpertalk for the 3x3 mod.
