hhmm, wierd one this.

Whilst riding to town today I noticed the bike struggling to engage first gear. You click down and the lever springs down and up, rather than engaging gear and having pressure under it. Then, after parking up and coming back to it an hour later, it seemed ok. A few miles later and it wont engage 3rd at low revs (sub 2k) but rev it a bit more and it drops in fine. First still seems fine.

Chain tension is about right, so I'm a bit stumped (and slightly worried as I already have to fork out about £200 this month on tyres!)

Any ideas?

Is the clutch adjusted properly.
Are you putting it into first gear to slow or to easy.
I think changing gear below 2k is to soon for the gear ratio to match up.
Try changing at 3k rpm and see if it works.

Paddy.
