NSR tuning help!!

I own a 97 NSR. I've taken away all the restrictions according to the de-restriction guide. I diden't do the exhaust part, I baught a Gianelli exhaust pipe insted. I also have a 135 jet in the carb. I have also changed the front sprocket to 13 teeth. But according to your guide my bike should be capabel of speeds up to 110, but my bike anly does about 90 miles anhour. What have I done wrong?? I' need the extra 20 miles, I just got parked by a GSX-R 1000, It dosent impres when my bike cant even keep up with the GSX at first gear. Tips and hints needed, Are you all braging about your top speed or what?? How god is the Gianeli exhaust?

A Gixer thou will dick on your NSR no matter how highly tuned it is.

Err...doesn't a Gixer thou produce more power at tickover than most 125s do at peak power? Cool

1st gear propbably tops out at about 70mph Smile
where yours does about 25mph

not quite tin.... tick over with the choke on, probably Smile

The gsxr thou is pretty much the fastest accelerating production road bike.... it has a faster 0-60 time than allmost all the £100,000+ production supercars.... so don't feel bad Smile

hmm...i think that it *may* be more than that!...Stew's VFR goes to 60 in 1st, and a Gixer 750 goes to about 86 (ok, maybe not true)...I'm sure that the Gixer thou speedo will *show* about a ton Confused

I doub't it's quite a ton.... 90ish, or alittle lower more likley... The VFR/RVF have racing gearbox's AFAIK... thus a tall first gear and fairly close ratio for the rest. My ZX redlines at about 65 in 1st btw.

IMHO I reckon it would *show* 90ish with the true speed a bit less.
