Heya was wondering whether I could get some advice about some damage that happened to my CG when it went over.
It went over on it's right side damaging the foot peg and front brake leaver.

Not sure if it can be seen too well from the pictures but it is at a right odd angle.
How can I get it back to being flat?
I did think of a hammer but that didn't work, maybe I'm just a pansy Neutral .
Also do I have to worry about my front brake?
It seems alright but is there any reason for those balls on the end or am I safe to ride it without the ball end?
Thanks Smile .
Oh and the bike isn't on a side stand, it does look like it is but that's due to my crappy picture taking skills Embarassed .

Unlucky. Did you have a cover on? In strong winds it's best to keep it uncovered as the cover acts like a sail.

I wouldn't fret about the foot peg. The lever has plenty on it so personally, I woudn't rush to replace. But the ball on the end gives extra grip so your gripping fingers don't slide off. If you can get a cheap replacement, i'd order it.

Thanks Smile.
I don't have a cover just a really light bike Neutral .
The foot peg actually makes it quite awkward for me to use the back brake, I've tried it in stationary and I kind of feel like a ballerina Confused .

Get someone with big boots to kick the footrest straight - I've done it many times. Other options are using a piece of tube or even a club hammer and piece of wood. Kicking it works best I found.

The lever is an MOT failiur now it's had it's ball chopped off Smile

No it's not its to stop the lever going straight through your hand/body(low speed usually hand) if you have an off and the bars land on you.
Trust me our bikes get checked before we are allowed to ride comps and if the ball is missing then you get sent to fix it , if you haven't got another leaver to replace it with then you get sent home. End of. ( you must be a dick not to have one spare any way in trials.)

Thumbs Up Get it sorted ASAP its a safety hazard.

EDIT:(from our ACU trials rules book)

TSR8:
For current Trials Machine Specifications
The Supplementary Regulations for each event shall indicate the Categories and
Motorcycles must comply with Appendix B of the National
Sporting Code and have independent brakes on both front and rear wheels. Prior to
the start of each Trial all machines will be examined to ensure that they comply with ACU specifications.
When the event uses the public highway it is the sole responsibility
of the rider to present a machine complying with all Road Traffic Act(s) requirements
including exhaust sound level. Organisers, with the approval of the permit issuing
authority, may at their discretion, allow

Soz to hear about the bike. Not nice, is it? Sad

Replacement levers are relatively cheap and are easy to replace. Pop to your local bike parts shop and pick one up (stuff like levers tend to be generic, so you'll find a lever that fits yours may also fit a CB250 as well, or something). It's deffo a CBT failure with the end chopped off.

As far as the footpeg goes, take Geri's advice. The CG is fairly bulletproof and you can kick it back into shape to a point without breaking anything!
