Does anyone have one of these or know anything at all about them?
My girlfriend's sister's husband has one that's been standing for almost 3 years now and he said if I can get it running (it was running fine before) that I can borrow it for a month for a laugh. What I'm hoping is that he won't miss it and I can give him some sort of offer for it if I like it! It has 16k on the clock and is in good condition but it is 17 years old. It's been sat under a cover in his garage for the last 3 years and it was running fine before that, he just got busy so stopped riding it.
From what I understand it's the second CBR after the hurricane and it was the fastest 600 in it's time. Bike trader reckons they're about £1000+ and parkers only goes down to a '99 model. I was thinking that £1000+ was a bit steep for such an old bike though.
So does anyone have any info on them or any know of any online reviews on them?

I had a 1989 model, engine was superb, handling was ok, but wear had made the rear end soggy. The forks are air damped, so adjustment is simple, but limited.
Gearbox broke... probably due to abuse, but have heard of similar failiure on an american cbr site
Have to say again, for what it was, the engine was superb ____________________ TL1000s, KDX200 |
