I'm looking to get a new set of waterproof jacket and trousers. Must be waterproof and offer good protection, i.e. armour etc. Preferably also zip together as I'm fed up of my jacket always riding up my back.

What can anyone suggest?

I use a hein gericke cruise gtx jacket and a set of hein gericke tricky goretex trousers, they are comfortable if a little warm but good for winter. So far they have been waterproof, and they have a good guarantee, i think the jacket is about 270 and the trousers are about 170.

entry leval goretex from hein gericke aint bad aswell. Blue and black. Reflective strips. removable liner. Jacket is £199.99 and trousers are £149.99.

Edit: The goretex at hein gericke is garunteed for 2 years, and longer if you treat the garments with nikwax techwash and tx direct.

Checkout the Halvarssons stuff here https://www.biker-land.de/xtcommerce/index.php . The Safty Suit got best textile suit a while back in one of the Ride reviews. Big thread and loads of pictures of the suit here https://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=207629&highlight=Halvarssons .

The Korax which is Halvarssons cheaper range is also supposed to be extreamly good.

I have just purchased a rukka suit from biker-lande.de. Over here it would of cost about £1500, from germany after a email they give it me for less than their online price, £960, that's including the Halvarssons gortex gloves in my order.

So if your after good value and not looking to spend alot contact biker-land.de through their web form saying you heard good things about them and are interested in buying the korax suit for example, possibly some gloves/boots etc so they can give you a better deal.

I was just searching the net and found this post https://www.bikersoracle.com/vfr/forum/showthread.php?t=82985 . I mentioned it in the email and they said because my forum was happy with them they would offer me a further discount... i've never used the forum before lol.

Germany's in the EU, no import tax to worry about, beats uk prices for top quality bike kit. Isabella responded to my emails up untill 9pm at night about sizing ect, after that I recieved replys at about 6.30am. Great customer service and I've not heard a bad thing said about them.

You are all insane.

2nd hand Bering jacket unused from ebay. £55

Buffalo trousers from MandP £45

Racer trousers £129.00

While at MandP the misses got a new textile jacket For £50 and also has a 2nd hand unused bering jacket from Ebay for £40.

Why anyone would spend the sort of money you lot are talking about on Textiles escapes me. Do you people actually ride your bikes or just stand next to them posing?

And yes I ride more miles and more hours than many of you in EVERY type of weather as its my job to do it.

Bering FTW. I've just had one of their 'Steel' jackets and Karen has also got one of theirs. Its the comfiest riding kit that I've tried by far, and is also great spec. Waterproof, breathable, knox armour, removable lining, the works. £150 or so.
