Pah, well mine's bigger than yours Razz..

Though, definitely 'must try harder'. As the racing is winding down a bit, I was hoping to get out around the place a bit next year.

Clicky

South America is amazing for those wanting to know, The only place I really knew though was Colombia as the other places I stayed for like a day as me and my family were flying from South America to the UK.

Lived in Colombia for 11 years in the Capital. Beautiful country and the people are amazing. Went back there last summer and so much has changed since last time I was there which was 7 years!

Would be difficult, wouldn't want to set foot in places like Somalia or parts of the Côte D'Ivoire at the moment.
Kinda matters more how much time you spend in each country though, dunnit? Visiting 100% of the world is pointless unless you "take something back" from the countries you visit imo.

Like to try though Laughing

I often hear people saying they travelled the world, they couldnt really have been in all the countries as you say there are some countries you dont want to go to like Chad not very nice i watched a program on that place. But it would be fun to try anyway and i also believe you must learn something when your there, be no point otherwise.

One thing that dont interest me is going to holiday resorts in hot countires sitting on beaches, i prefer to go and take in their culture and history.

I've been travelling twice but, like you say, what would be the point in spending a couple of days in each place? I seriously doubt that anyone has got near to visiting all the countries in the world. According to Wikipedia there are 245 countries in the world - spending a week in each would take you nearly 5 years to do them all. Maybe if I win the lottery... Laughing

Or worse (like some of my mates); going to an exotic location only to never leave the resort / beach / pool! What's the bloody point? Go to Spain...! Rolling Eyes

Even worse is going to a foreign country only to eat at all the English bars, drink at all the Irish bars and speak loudly in English (with added 'O's on the end to make yourself understood to the locals) wherever you go.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 18 years, 231 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
