Got my theory booked in

Yeah, and do any of you have any tips on revising? They gave me a book with cars and bike practice questions and an online hazard perception test dvd thing.
Do I really have to learn every section, including cars etc like they say in the book, or are they just being ott and having a laugh, in other words, do you need it all, does it all crop up randomly?

How is the hazard perception test?

It's booked for 1st August, how did you find it easy, hard? Some people have said there's nothing to it

I'd rather learn too much than not enough.

I'd say just do them tests on the dvd aswell as doing all free ones you find online.

Keep doing them till you get them all right.

I've got mine booked for the 23rd July but I've just been studying on the motorcycle theory test.

I hope there don't have car question because then am buggered.
There shouldn't do as you have marked down that you wanted bike theory but as someone else says. Doesn't hurt to learn anyway

have a look at www.theory-test.co.uk I paid £3 for a couple of days access and just did test after test, reading up on any questions I got wrong.

Probably did 20 over the 3 days and when I sat the actual test I got 35/35 so it did the trick

They won't ask you car theory questions on a motorbike theory, likewise they won't ask you motorbike theory questions on a car theory test.

Hazards perception test is the same for both however. And it is just much easier learning it all and tbh it isn't that hard. Most of it you should really know anyways.

Mine's booked for the 25th too.
Just been prectising on the Hazard Pereception and boy did I suck!
Am getting there though, you have to point the hazards out really early!
Or maybe I'm just used to reacting to hazards without thinking about it so clicking on a mouse makes me think about it too much, which makes me miss clicking early enough for the game to accept it .

i did my theory not too long ago practised with driving test success PC CD rom which installs and you can do Exam simulations i did loads the first day the second day i did 2 and there on after i did one a day to prepare my advice is this:

Questions part: 35 questions to do so read the question and answer logically most questions will give you a senario and ask what will you do? theres going to be 1 or 2 questions about the motorway like where are the green reflectors (slip roads) or amber ones (between central reservation and carriageway) or possibly red ones (between carriage way and hard shoulder)
Theres going to be questions about maintenance and about what you should check after you adjust the chain (rear wheel alignment) Rest should be straight forward there will be one in there phrased as "You arrive at the scene of an accident..." this one has a couple of different varietys if they are bleeding its gonna be apply firm pressure to the wound if its a burn douze with water and the rest are pretty obvious

Hazard preception: In my opinion a bit pointless but the easy way to beat this one is click 3 times for each one when you know its going to be a hazard because sometimes it doesn't pick up your clicks if you click once potential hazards (pedestrians, pets, vans that may hide things and buses with people walking out in front of you) don't count so only click for the potential ones once but when you know its a serious hazard then click a couple of times and luck is going to be the major factor as to whether you pass otherwise good luck

i have that hazard perception dvd too. I've done 2 mocks so far, and scoring between 50 and 59 both times when pass is 44 so not too bad
Im ok at it, but there is a cheating sensor of frequent click patterns. Little did i know, you need only to click once or twice on one of the vid parts, but i click bout 4 times~ to be safe.

Nicky - lol, i surprised myself - not too bad at the perception thing. If I can advise you it would be look far ahead and frequent things occur to look out for eg open car doors, ppl running out inot road and oncoming traffic and its basically a reaction game lol, and keep calm.

yea a hell of alot because i been to that dam test centre way too many times (3 for bike) so yea its the best advice i could come up with in the end its luck on the day. I was practicing on the PC for mine and i thought i was doing well passing quite a bit still failed it lol but heres something else you should know. When you go to do your test if you pass good on you if you fail don't worry about it go back and do it again until their sick of the site of you and eventually you pass

i've never had one on tread limit but it is 1mm incase they do. they will ask you about licensing and insurances i know that. "What documents would you present following an accident?" that one may crop up. the tread is more likely to come up in your practical test where you have to tell him its "1mm, forming a continuous band across 75% of the width of the tyre". If you get some lessons with an instructor he will give you a piece of paper with those questions on though so don't worry about those. Going back to the theory there might be one in there about a tyre puncture or the tyre bursting (if its bursting you stop as quickly as possible. if its a puncture let the bike roll to a stop) i got that one wrong the time i passed

Edit: i got caught out by the cheating thing aswell it was on the last click i was bored but i didn't realise i clicked in rhythm lol
