A 42 year old motorbike ride from Surrey apparently lost control of his vehicle on the M25 with his 11 year old son on the back... The son died at hospital with serious head injuries. The father was uninjured.

That poor guy... I can't begin to imagine how he feels right now.

'tis very sad, i bet the father is more than devastated Sad
My eldest stepson (10 yrs old) is forever pestering me to take him out on the bike, but im very reluctant too - if the worst happened how the hell would i live with myself??

my sons' friend was killed earlier this week on the selby bypass. 17 years old, his name was Paul, a lovely lad. very sadly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. god only knows what Daz and Ria are going through.

thats exactly why i wont have pasengers on my bike anymore except for the moped.

Riding a bike doesn't have to be more dangerous than driving a car; if you make a point of paying attention to the road and it's hazards, it's probably safer than the average person driving a car.

The worst accident I've had was in a car doing the speed limit in good conditions on a straight road - and that includes my recent 100mph aerobatics over a tyre wall while racing.
