Having purchased a bike that was made around the era of 1986 it was inevitable that the condition of the bodywork wouldn't be amazing, however this bike starts on the first kick of its kicks-start every time, therefore I think it is only fair I give it a well deserved tidy, however I'm not prepared to stop using it to do so (as I have with the Aprilia RS50 Project) and so will be doing it bit by bit, please look back at this thread for updates...

The Honda H100 in the condition it was purchased:

(Ignore The Loose Indicator the the 2nd & 3rd pictures, I needed to remove it to sort out a less rusty replacement however I have it temporarily bolted on with the incorrect nut & bolt).

As you can see there is still loads to do but none of it is particularly urgent therefore allowing me to actually get some riding done in between the tidying up and keeping me happy.

Just one more picture for now to prove the bike is actually being used rather than sitting around like the Aprilia RS50, sorry for the poor quality, I blame the average camera and the less than average camera-man Laughing :

DISCLAIMER NOTICE TO SAFETY NAZIS/POLICE: The bike is being ridden on my fathers private land and I will wear the protective gear I feel adequate for the bike, if you don't like it, p*ss off! Very Happy

If that front mudguard is still solid, take it off, clean any rust off the underside then treat it with rustkiller and a really thick coat of paint on the inside (like black bitumen or iron oxide or similar).

They ALL corrode like hell on the underside of the front mudguard at the highest point. In fact, yours is the first H100 front mudguard I have ever seen that doesn't either have a hole there already or the chrome bubbling up due to the rust underneath.

I'd also advise changing those tyres, or at least the front one. There is absolutely no need to be having a groove-cut front tyre in this day and age.
