I just had my first somewhat long ride! On tuesday me and a friend departed from Barcelona heading up the Costa Brava up to a place about 30 km away from the French border. He was on his Honda SH 125i, and I was on the Rs 125. Not exactly ideal for a 160 km ride...After about 40 km, we stopped at a petrol station. I tried to gear down only to find there were no gears....The screw had vibrated out, and my gear shifter was hanging all over the place!
After a lot of effort, I managed to gear it down into third with a pen XD, and we drove about 5 km to the next town and bought a new bolt and nut. Suddenly it was getting kindo of darkish, and we had 120 km to go, but nothing to do about it, just rode on. Pretty chilly for my friend, but I was geared up properly (jacket boots gloves..). I the end we got there, and I drove home alone today. The 160 km in one go...
It's really tiring. Is that cause of the bike, or in general?

Sounds eventful. If you are tired from riding, it is probably a combination of not being used to that amount of time on the road, and the bike itself. The latter being the most important really Smile

I got cramps in my feet when I rode an RS125 but I was told you adjust to this anyway.

Just be grateful you weren't your friend, sure he had the comfier bike for distances but you can bet he would of suffered. If it makes you feel any better. Question
